Grand Mama’s Pyramids
“Thoughts of Her Pyramids”, 8×10 oil on canvasboard, study, by Rog Lyngaas, 9-15-08, using Choate7 palette.
This painting reminds me of one of the paintings I saw the daily painter “GrandMama” post a couple months ago. It was a painting of Pyramids in earth tones. If I remember it, it must have a superior design. Just like the pyramids of Egypt; whose angles of design are “perfect”. I think this perfection has to do with people studying the “design of sand dunes”; i.e. why they end up with their given angles, due to the wind.
OK, but the naked kneeling lady in the water is another figure, you may not have seen. She is laying herself down before the mountain men.
